Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
Dr. Rhys is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified, allowing him to assess how the body functions in relation to the golf swing.
TPI is the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to understanding how the human body impacts golf performance. Through decades of research and data collection from both professional and everyday golfers, TPI has identified how physical limitations in mobility, stability, and strength can affect the efficiency of a player’s swing and increase the risk of injury.
This relationship is known as The Body-Swing Connection.
With a TPI Physical Screen, Dr Rhys can identify movement restrictions and provide targeted strategies to help improve performance, reduce injury risk, and optimise the connection between your body and your golf swing.
1. TPI Certified Physical Assessment
A comprehensive physical screen designed to assess mobility, stability, balance, and movement patterns related to the golf swing. This assessment helps identify physical limitations that may be affecting performance or contributing to injury risk.
2. Prescribed TPI Corrective Exercises
Following the assessment, personalised corrective exercises may be prescribed to improve mobility, stability, and movement efficiency. These exercises are designed to help golfers move more freely and develop a more efficient swing.
3. Spinal Manipulation Therapy
Chiropractic adjustments may be used to help restore proper spinal and joint movement, reducing stiffness and improving rotation. Improved spinal mobility can support better movement mechanics during the golf swing.
4. Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft tissue treatments may include techniques such as dry needling, electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), deep tissue therapy, and trigger point therapy. These treatments help reduce muscular tension, improve flexibility, and support recovery.
